Charlotte Ruth McCormick, 85, of Albany, passed into heaven on September 15, 2018 with her family by her side.  Charlotte was born in Ranger, West Virginia, on January 30, 1933, the daughter of Romie and Louise (McCoy) Elkins.  Charlotte worked for Armstrong Corporation (Ardagh) before transitioning to Albany Health Care where she worked for 14 years.   Charlotte married Roger D. McCormick on April 1, 1968.

Charlotte was a devoted Christian, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.   She was family-oriented and provided for every means for her husband and children. Charlotte enjoyed canning while living on the family homestead.  Charlotte will be remembered for her holiday dinners.  She was a member of Mt. Olive Freewill Baptist Church.

Charlotte will be missed by many.  Those include her loving husband of 50 years, Roger McCormick; children: Brenda (Larry) Campbell of Augusta, KY, Linda Johnson of Muncie, Judy (Don) Jarvis of Albany, Annette (Ronnie) Strider of Ashboro, NC, Doug (Jane) Fraley of Dunkirk, and Gary (Patty) Fraley of Redkey; sister Yvonne Skeens of Redkey; 15 grandchildren; 46 + 1 expectant great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her siblings:  Little Jimmy, Don Elkins, and Billie Elkins.
