Charlotte Jane Sargent, age 84, of Muncie, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. She was born January 17, 1927 in Detroit, MI to Russell and Ruth (Dyer) Bales. She graduated from Bloomington High School with the Class of 1945. Charlotte was a private duty nurse for many years and loved the outdoors. She was also an avid birdwatcher.
She married Aden Dean Sargent and he preceded her in death on April 17, 1971. Charlotte is survived by her son, Stephen R. Sargent (wife, Constance)of Noblesville, and daughter, Kyle A. Tharp (husband, Edwin) of Eaton; grandchildren, Shawn S. Sargent, of Noblesville, Chris J. Sargent, of Muncie, Brian Crawley (wife, Dawn) of Eaton and Kristi Starling (husband, Chris) of Newberg, OR; 11 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 15, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Rd. 3, Muncie, IN 47303 with burial to follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
