Charlotte Mae Sylvester of Muncie passed away at her residence at the age of 77 on Monday, November 30, 2020. She was born in Quinwood, West Virginia on December 11, 1943 to Harry E. and Verma P. (McMillion) Whitlock.

Charlotte graduated from high school and married James Sylvester. She was a housewife and a mother to their three sons. She was a member of Southern Baptist, the Teamster Union, and Knights of Columbus. She enjoyed knitting, hairdressing, designing, and travelling. She was an avid gardener and very hard worker. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Charlotte is survived by her sons, James Sylvester, Jr. (Terri) of Westfield, Indiana, Mark Sylvester (Melisa Cooper) of Muncie, Indiana; and Matthew Sylvester (Liberty) of Greenwood, Indiana; brother, Edward E. Whitlock; sister, Karen S. Shounce; six grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, Harry E. and Verma P. (McMillion) Whitlock and husband, James Sylvester.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 from 12:00 to 2:00 pm in Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 North State Road 3, Muncie with funeral services immediately following at 2:00 pm, also in the Funeral Home, officiated by Nathan Watson.
