Charlotte E. Welch, 76, slipped away quietly at Liberty Village Nursing Home with her loving sister at her side on Monday, July 5, 2010.
Charlotte was born in Chicago, IL, on July 5, 1934 to George Milewski & Eleanor (Milewski) Pociask. She spent over fifty years in the Chicago area raising her family and working miscellaneous jobs. Twenty-two years ago she moved to Muncie where she resided at Cambridge Square Apartments. Charlotte's passion in life was her two sons. She also loved cookouts, family dinners, old movies, poker TV, and cooking shows. She spent many hours' playing cards and spending time with her friends at Cambridge Square Apartments. Charlotte is survived by two sons, Arthur "Butch" Welch (Susan) of Muncie, Indiana, Dave Welch (Shawn) of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; four grandchildren, David Welch of Daleville, Indiana, Mark Haire of Muncie, Indiana, Crystal Clairday of Yorktown, Indiana, and Tamara Blasier of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; six great grandchildren, Tyler Welch of Parker City, Indiana, Wesli Welch of Daleville, Indiana, Andrew Haire, Allison Haire, Stormy Haire, all of Muncie, Indiana, and Geo Geovanni of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; one sister, Veronica Pociask, of Muncie, IN; one brother, Joe Pociask (Kathleen), of Carol Springs, Illinois. She also has several nieces and a nephew, as well as as, many great-nieces and nephews, and her cousin who was also her best friend, Geri Ackermann of Rockford, Illinois. Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, George Milewski and Eleanor Pociask; a brother, George Milewski; a niece, Wanita Davis, and her great-granddaughter, Dakota Welch. In her honor, a memorial cookout will be held (by private invitation only) at a later date.
