Former Muncie resident, Claudia Davis, 68, beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away Wednesday, September, 16, 2009 after an extended illness.
Claudia was born March 2, 1941 in Muncie. She attended Muncie Central High School where she met her high school sweetheart, Raymond Morrical, Jr.
Claudia and Raymond had two children together, Terri Anne and Gregory Allen and were happily married for twenty-two years, until his untimely passing in 1981. Their greatest joy shared was the birth of their first grandson, Joshua Ray born in 1978.
Claudia met and married Dale L. Davis in 1983 and moved to New Castle, IN. Happily married twenty-four years, until Dale's death in 2007, they shared many loves, especially their grandsons, Joshua Ray, Dustin Ryan, Samuel Gregory Allen and Zander Bray and their puppies, Shadow and Sheena.
Claudia moved to Arlington, Texas in May of 2008 to be near family and made many special friends. She enjoyed the warm weather on the porch, afternoons in the Nook having coffee, Tuesdays with Tom, dining with her friends, Ruth, Dorothy and Bob. She missed her friends in Indiana but was blessed with new friends that made her days less lonely.
Claudia was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Allen Morrical, Jr. (1981); her grandson, Dustin Ryan Smith (1997); her son, Gregory Allen Morrical (2003); and her husband, Dale L. Davis (2007); as well as her brother and two sisters.
Claudia is survived by a daughter, Terri A. Smith (husband, Gary) of Arlington, Texas; grandsons, Joshua Ray Smith (Arlington), Samuel Gregory Allen Morrical (Muncie); great grandsons, Xander Bray and Grant (New Castle, brother, Rick; sister-in-law, Carla Morrical of Muncie; sister, Naomi Babbitt Roach; and brother-in-law, Wayne (FL); numerous nieces and nephews and many dear friends in Indiana and Texas.
A Memorial Life Celebration will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 27, 2009 at Town Hall at Town Village Arlington, 1250 West Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, Texas 76013.
Family and friends will be received following service.
Final Resting Place will be at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, 10703 N. State Rd 3, Muncie, IN.
