Cleo Hornbeck, 88, of Muncie, passed away Sunday, August 17, 2014 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.

Cleo was born March 6, 1926 in Elk Park, North Carolina to the late Thomas and Florence Andrews. She worked various jobs through her life and was a homemaker. She was a member of Corinth Christian Church for over 60 years. She also belonged to the Lady''s Aid of the Corinth Christian Church and volunteer singer at many area nursing homes. Cleo enjoyed puzzles and collecting cookie jars.

Cleo is survived by her loving husband, Clinton Hornbeck; Six children, Judy Driskill (husband Don) of Anderson, Brenda Southerland (husband David) of Middletown, Kathy Licht (husband Monty) of Albany, Clinton Hornbeck (wife Bea) of Muncie; Renee Patz of Anderson, and Tracy VanWinkle (husband Todd) of Pendleton; her best friend, Bea Watson of Muncie; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Cleo was preceded in death by a daughter, Phyllis Timmons; and 14 siblings.

A funeral service to celebrate Cleo''s life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, August 21, 2014, at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Road 3, Muncie, Indiana. Pastor Doug Blake and Pastor Junior Byrd will officiate. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.

Friends may gather to share and remember from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 20, 2014 and also one hour prior to services Thursday at Garden View Funeral Home.
