Clifton Pearl Greer, 99, of Muncie, was called upon to greet the Lord, on Thursday, September 13th, 2012, after a long and fruitful life. Her journey began with family in attendance at Kindred Transitional Care. Mrs. Greer''s life began as Clifton Bounds, she was the daughter of the late Oliver & Margaret (Collins) Bounds, and she was born, March 8th, 1913 in Hanford, CA. She then moved to Jamestown, TN. She married Earnest Greer, and was blessed with three children, Charles Greer (wife Janet), Margaret Koger (husband Charles), and Joy (husband Don). The Greer Family then moved to Muncie, where she spent the majority of her life. Mrs. Greer began her career as a seamstress at Vogue Cleaners in Muncie. Clifton then worked for Ball State Dinning Services at Noyer Hall, where she retired after 15 years of service. Clifton enjoyed gardening, western novels, and spending time with her family. Mrs. Greer was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Greer, son Charles Greer, daughter Margaret Koger, brothers Loren and Dave Bounds, sister Edna Brook, and in-laws, Janet Greer, Charles Koger, and grandson Mike Greer. She is survived by her daughter, Joy Jones (husband Don), grandchildren, Rick Lawhorne (wife Suzie), Jack Koger (wife Sandy), Dave Koger (wife Donna), Kelly Koger, Jeannie Greer (late husband Mike), Brian Greer (special friend Mindy), Mark Greer (wife Elaine), Allen Jones (Wife Annette), Dan Jones, Troy Jones (wife Tammie), eighteen great-grandchildren, and ten great-great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Monday, September 17th, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at The Garden View Funeral Home with Pastor Glenn Greiner of Union Chapel United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, September 16th from 2-4 p.m. at the funeral home.
