Clyde E. Nelson of Muncie, IN passed away Friday November 30, 2007. He was born September 7, 1921 the son of Frank and Flora Nelson. He was married to Margaret Ann (Irwin) Nelson who passed away 1997.
Clyde retired from Borge Warner after 36 years of service as an electrician. Clyde was a member of the Free Masons and Shriners of Indianapolis, Indiana; Anderson York Right and a member of the local UAW 287 .
Surviving relatives include his son Roy Nelson (wife) Cindy of Muncie, IN; daughter Sharon Gullery (husband) Larry; two brothers Paul and Jim Nelson both of TN; two sisters Lois Justice and Annis Newcomb both of TN; five grandchildren; David (wife) Stacy Nelson of Muncie, IN; Derek Nelson of Fort Wayne, IN; Ralonda (husband) John of TX; Alecia Bowling (husband) Matthew of Brooksville, FL; Michael Durbin of Muncie, IN.
He is preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and one sister, wife Margaret.
Service time will be 10:30 a.m on Tuesday December 4, 2007 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN 47303. Pastor Dennis Trimble will officiate the service. Entombment will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery. The Delaware County Honor Guard will honor Clyde with military rites at the cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00p.m. on Monday December 3, 2007. Memorial contributions will be made to the Diabetes Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
