Connie Breedlove Howard, 62, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, May 9, 2012.
She was born November 19, 1949 in Union City, OH the daughter of James and Maxine Hatfield. Connie moved to Parker City in 1976. She was a group leader at the student center and retired from Ball State University in 1997. Her hobbies included gardening, reading in front of the fireplace, and spending time with her family. She especially loved being with her grandchildren and loved them dearly. Connie was a very helping and caring person who dedicated her life to helping others. She was a ten year breast cancer survivor and loved animals. Connie was also a very active member at Selma United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Avery Howard; three children, Ned Breedlove (wife, Julie), Indianapolis, Tiffany Rains (husband, Dale), Yorktown, and Justin Breedlove (wife, Ashley), Farmland; and eleven very special grandchildren, Tayler Rains, Ashlei Rains, Dash Rains, Dax Rains, Addi Rains, Mallory Breedlove, Brooke Breedlove, Gweneth Breedlove, Lauren Breedlove, Chandler Breedlove and Liam Breedlove.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her in-laws, Steve Howard, Pete Howard, Lue Madden, Dixie Howard and Stevie Howard.
Services will be held 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at Selma United Methodist Church, 400 N. County Rd 600 E., Selma, IN with Pastor Mark Ellcessor officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, north of Muncie.
Friends may call from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel or one hour prior to the services on Wednesday at the church.
