Constance “Connie” G. Sargent, 73, of Selma, passed away at 1:07 pm, on Friday, September 11, 2026, at Indiana University Health Ball Memorial Hospital. She was born in Muncie, Indiana, on April 8th, 1953, to Ira and Lola Campbell. She married Stephen Sargent on January 23rd,1976 and he survives her.

Connie graduated from Muncie Central High School, class of 1971 and worked at Delco Remy and General Motors Fort Wayne Assembly for a combined 20 years.

She loved family gatherings and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who she was very close with.

She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Stephen Campbell; two sons, Chris Sargent and Shawn (Jodi) Sargent; sisters and brothers, Minnie Greg, Alvretta (Huey) Phiffe, Willa (Don) Behm, Alma (Huey) Phillips, Frank (Betty) Campbell, Dennis (Judy) Campbell, and Dannie Campbell; two grandchildren, Leslie (Shawn) Cooper and Zoe Sargent; and two great-grandchildren, Carson Cooper and Cameron Cooper, and life-long friend, Kathy McLeland.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Lola Campbell; brothers, George Campbell, John Campbell, Woodrow Campbell, and Shelby Campbell.

The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Thursday, September 17th, 2026, at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Rd 3, Muncie, IN 47303.

A funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Jason Trimble officiating.

Burial will take place at Gardens of Memory, Muncie.
