Cora Fay Schuyler, 86, of Muncie, died Sunday evening, July 26th, 2015 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. She was born July 1st, 1929 in Kokomo, IN and was the daughter of the late Paul A. & Lena M. (Herbert) Long.
Cora was a loving, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed sewing, fishing, and playing bingo. Cora was a member of Four Square Gospel Church, where she served as President of the Ladies Ministries for several years.
Cora is survived by her two daughters, Diana Kay Dotts (Harold) and Lena M. Wright both of Muncie; a step-son Robert Schuyler of Muncie; ten grandchildren, Kim Brown (Tony) of Muncie, Michelle Anderson (Michael) of Muncie, Mike Dotts (Kristina) of Muncie, Ernie Wright of Muncie, Delena Wright of Muncie, Lisa Robinson (Kyle) of Iowa, Leslie Schuyler of Muncie, Tammy Pittman of Muncie, Shelly Perry (Tom) of Muncie, and Bobby Schuyler of Muncie; twenty-three great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Earl Schuyler, step-father Leo Halstead; brothers, Paul, Harold, Arold, Henry, Tom, and Herbert; sisters Blanche, Mary, Nora, and Joella; step-son Larry Schuyler; and daughter-in-laws, Theresa Franklin and Burma Schuyler.
Funeral Services for Cora will be held Friday, July 31st, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home with Pastor Warren Willie officiating. Entombment will follow in Gardens of Memory Mausoleum. Family and friends may call from 12:00 noon until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
