Cora Mae "Corky" Snow, 89, passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2011 at Morrison Woods Health Campus. She was born on August 11, 1921 in Mounds City, KS to the late William Nathan and Myrtle Alta (McDowell) Hale. Cora Mae married her love Kenneth Hayward Snow on January 5, 1951 in Muncie.
Cora Mae was a homemaker all of her life. She enjoyed making crafts and also giving them away; cooking; canning; flower and vegetable gardening; and collecting family heirlooms. Cora Mae was a very meticulous person who always kept lists and organization. She never forgot a person''s birthday and always sent birthday cards to those whom she cared about. Cora Mae was also a generous one who gave to her family when she could. She was a member of the Home Makers Extension. And when her husband Kenneth was living, she assisted him in his training of race horses.
Cora Mae is survived by two loving sisters: Charlotte Ferris (husband, Hugh) and Alta Estes, all of Muncie; several sisters-in law and brothers-in-law; several nieces and nephews; and good friend Janice Marlett.
Cora Mae was preceded in death by her parents; husband Kenneth of 48 years; and sister Rosalie Gibson.
Visitation will be on Thursday, January 20, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Rd. 3, Muncie. The funeral service will follow at noon at the funeral home with family member, Reverend Sean Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
