Crystal Lynn Mullis,45, of Muncie, gained her angel wings at 9:20 am, on March 2, 2026, after a lifelong fight with neurofibromatosis.  She was born in Muncie, Indiana, on November 8,1980, to Billy G. King and Lisa L. (Mullis) Baker.

She attended Delta High School and graduated in the class of 2000.

Crystal, aka "Strawberry Shortcake", for her beautiful red hair, was involved and a leader in  Girl Scouts and 4-H, making it to the Indiana State Fair.  She had a love for country and rock music, Ozzy being one of her favorites, attending Oz Fest.  With her silly nature and joking personality, she touched the heart and lives of her friends and family.  She will be dearly missed by all.

She is survived by her mother, Lisa (Darrell) Baker; daughter, Kelsey Smith; stepsisters, Krista Baker and Aimee (Kurt) Hollowell; uncles Kirk Mullis and Mark Mullis; aunt, Carry (Steve) Rose; one very special aunt, Tina Merryweather; and special friend, Rufus Brown.

She was preceded in death by her father, Billy King; grandparents Harry (Virginia) Baker and Billy Mullis; uncle, Jack Burgdoll, and three close childhood friends.

The family would like to thank the staff of Cardinal Care Strategies and Guardian Angel Hospice.

The family will receive visitors from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Rd 3, Muncie, IN 47303.

A memorial service to celebrate Crystal's life will begin at 2:00 pm, at the funeral home with Chaplain Jonah Stults officiating.
