Curtis Johnson, Jr., 63, of Muncie, died Saturday afternoon, May 3rd, 2014 at IU Simon Cancer Center in Indianapolis. He was born February 5th, 1951 in Little Rock, Arkansas, and was the son of the late Curtis, Sr. & Augusta (Barnes) Johnson.
Curtis was a dedicated, loyal, employee of General Motors for over 21 years. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.
Curtis is survived by his daughter Jada Lynn Johnson, of Indianapolis; a grandson Francesco Woodgett of Indianapolis; three sisters, Dorothy Bea Johnson, of Indianapolis, Dorothy Lee Johnson, of Memphis, TN, and Zella Mae Abram (Marshall) of Muncie; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services for Curtis will be held Saturday, May 10th , 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church,820 South Penn, Muncie with Bishop Renzie Abram officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m., Saturday May 10th, 2014 at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Garden View Funeral Home.
