IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Cynthia "Cindy"
Piner
April 30, 1964 – September 16, 2025
Cynthia K. Piner
April 30, 1964 – September 16,2025
Cindy was born April 30,1964 and passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday September 16th, following surgical complications.
Cindy was a country girl who loved spending many summers in Tennessee with her grandparents, playing in the mountains and learning hard work and the meaning of commitment. She enjoyed fishing, dancing, and tanning in her pool. What Cindy loved most was her family. She was a devoted daughter, a loyal sister, a dedicated wife, a great mother and an awesome grandmother, (Momo).
She worked hard to go to college while raising children to graduate nursing school and become the kind of nurse anyone would want to care for them: gentle, kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable. Cindy made the dean's list every quarter in nursing school. She was very proud of this accomplishment as she worked so hard and was so dedicated and committed to being the very best that she could be.
Cindy had an ability to really understand people. She was the most generous, giving person you could ever meet. Her number one priority in life was her family. Family to Cindy was not a technical thing, it was a love thing. She and Jim had five beautiful daughters and one son that she shared her wisdom, guidance, and love with. They were the light and joy to her. Then there is Jim, her rock, her safe place, her strength and her gift. No one could match the love that Cindy gave, endless, complete, and unconditional.
Cindy was also devoted and dedicated to her sisters with whom she shared all emotions with, but her most special gift was the ability to laugh in any situation, no matter how bad or grim all while giving her love and support. She had the ability to send you the deepest support and love or kick your butt with one look.
Cindy was survived by her loving husband Jim Piner; daughters Mysti (Anthony) Power, Amber (Randy) Williams, Ruth Knox, Brooklyn Shopher and Laura Knox; 2 sons Aidan (Peighton) Shopher, and Donnie Lee Morris; grandchildren Jasmine Wood (Gavi Lopez), Hunter Eppard (Nevaeh Foreman-Bramlett, and Cyerra Williams; great-grandchildren Hudson Eppard and a precious baby boy that we have yet to meet. Sisters Teri (Jeff) Boyer, Susan (Arthur / Butch) Welch and Jonna Dittemore; Several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on September 25, 2025, from 5:00 until 7:00pm with a celebration of life service at 7:00pm at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. St. Rd. 3, Muncie, IN 47303
