Dale Austin Rodgers, 88 of Muncie, died Friday evening, October 20, 2017. He was born March 10, 1929 in Muncie and was the son of the late Chester A. & Eva Mae (Manson) Rodgers.
Dale was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He owned and operated DAR Machine & Manufacturing for over 40 years. Dale was a member of the Muncie Lion''s Club, Moose Lodge, and Eagles Lodge and had been an Eagle Scout. He was a very social and friendly man, who had never met a stranger. Dale enjoyed playing golf with his friends and wintering in Arizona.
Dale is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Virginia "Jenny" (Dean) Rodgers of Muncie; a daughter Rita Kay Rodgers of Yorktown; a step-daughter Julie Feuston of Muncie; two step-sons Jerry Downham of Muncie and Michael Downham of Arizona; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Dana Rodgers, and a daughter Donna Rodgers; a brother Elden Rodgers; his faithful companion and pet dog "Sadie"
Family and friends may call from 5- 7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Garden View Funeral Home. Entombment will be at a later date.
