Dallas M. Jones, 81 died Tuesday, October 28th at his residence in Leesburg, FL. He was born July 29, 1927 in Muncie, IN the son of Adlai H. and Etta (Blazier) Jones.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He retired from Indiana Bell after 41 years of service. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge.
Surviving relatives include his wife of 61 years, Heleena (Wininger Hayes) Jones of Leesburg, FL; one son, Kirby (Elaine) Jones of Grand Island, FL; four daughters, Terry (Roger) Mills of Indianapolis, IN; Beverley Guy and Nancy Jones, both of Leesburg, FL; Jacki (Dale Sheahan) Jones of Mosinee, WI; one sister, Vivian (Henry) Stevens of Selma, IN; seven grandsons, two granddaughters, and twenty three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Vincent, Stanley, and Stuart Jones, sister Dixie Checkeye and grandson John Charles Sander.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 3, 2008 at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 North State Road 3, Muncie, IN. Pastor Dennis Trimble will officiate the service. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie.
