Danny J. Lorance 77, of Muncie, passed away at 12:52 AM, Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at Ball Memorial Hospital. Danny was born on November 29, 1947, to the late Mayne and Ethel Lorance (Rains).

Danny graduated from Muncie Central High School and began his career with Owen Illinois, followed by positions at Coca-Cola, Pepsi, and eventually opening his own business, DJ's Golf, where he proudly worked for 25 years. He also owned Crestview Golf Course for six years and worked at Lakeview Golf Course. In addition, Danny drove for General Trucking before retiring due to health reasons.

Danny was passionate about his hobbies, including playing poker, being an avid golfer, and watching basketball, particularly IU, Purdue, and Cincinnati Reds. He also enjoyed following the Chicago Cubs and cherished time spent with his family.

Danny is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Shirley; his three children, James Lorance (Brenda), Jeffrey Lorance (Robin), and Jennifer Jones (Kris), all of Muncie; four granddaughters, Lauren Lorance of Miami, FL, Taylor Weiss (Kyle) of Noblesville, IN, Taryn Lorance "Fiancé" (Colin)  of Westfield, IN, and Caitlyn McCown (Troy) of Linden, MI; and three great-grandchildren, Weston Bowmer and Hadley Weiss of Noblesville, IN, and Declan McCown of Linden, MI.

Also surviving are his sister, Sarah Clark (Lindsay); sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Lorance and Linda Cooper; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mayne and Ethel Lorance; two brothers, Lionel and Lonnie; and his sister, Essy Kay Olson.
