Darrell E. Forshee, 69, of Muncie , IN died at 2:15 p.m. Wednesday October 10, 2007 at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie . He was born on October 13, 1937 in Bowling Green , KY the son of George and Lottie (Best) Forshee. On February 26, 1965 in Muncie , IN he married Sandra (Barber) Forshee who survives.
He retired from Borg Warner in 2004 after 25 years of service. He served in the Army National Guard from 1955-1964.
Darrell loved his family very much and enjoyed spending time with them. He raced stock cars for over 30 years and also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing bingo.
Surviving relatives include his wife Sandra Forshee, one son and three daughters, Tina Moore of Muncie , IN ; Barbara Ayres (husband: Robert) of Springport , IN ; Robert Moore (wife: Melissa) of Muncie ; Terry Miller (husband: Bobby) of Muncie ; Daniel Davenport (wife: Caryn) of Anderson , IN ; one brother, George Forshee, Jr. of Muncie; one sister, Joyee Dosch of Muncie; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, one son, Brad Forshee and three grandchildren.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday October 13, 2007 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie , IN. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family has made a special request that all attending the visitation and funeral dress casual.
