David William Anderson Sr., 77 of Muncie, died Thursday afternoon January 5, 2017 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. He was born April 4, 1939 in Selma, IN and was the son of the late Isaac & Mary (Vinning) Anderson.
David was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He loved working outside, watching westerns and wrestling, and he was an avid Colt''s Fan. David retired from Frank''s Foundry after 23 years of service and from Associated Landscaping after 12 years of service.
David is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Helen D. (Gregory) Anderson of Muncie; two sons David William Anderson, Jr. (Florence Elizabeth) and Paul Ray Anderson both of Muncie; a daughter Paulla Mann (Joseph) of Muncie; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild; a brother Richard Anderson of Yorktown and a sister Janice Collins (Mike) of Muncie. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers Lewis and Charles Anderson.
Funeral Services for David will be held Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home with Pastor Dennis Trimble officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Tuesday.
