David E. Canter, Jr. of Eaton, Indiana passed away at the age of 89 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana on Thursday, April 29, 2021. He was born on December 5, 1931 in Muncie, Indiana to the late David Canter, Sr. and Evelyn (Cunnington) Canter.
David graduated from Muncie Central High School and married the love of his life, Ruth Kegg. He was the owner of Canter Construction. He then worked for TK Constructors for most of his life until retirement. He was a 33 Degree Mason, and he had also worked at Warner Gear for 18 years.
David is survived by his wife, Ruth Canter of Eaton, Indiana; sons, Steve Canter of Anderson, Indiana and Jim Canter of Beechgrove, Indiana; grandchildren, Michael and Michelle; and several great grandchildren.
David was preceded in death by his parents, David Canter, Sr. and Evelyn (Cunnington) Canter and son, Robert Michael Canter.
Private services will be held at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 North State Road 3, Muncie with funeral services immediately following, also in the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Muncie. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.gardenviewandgardensofmemory.com .
