David Watson Evans, 70, of Muncie, IN died Thursday January 15, 2009 at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, IN. He was born on November 16, 1938 in Muncie, IN the son of Watson and Mary (Springman) Evans. He graduated high school from Muncie Central. On March 28, 2006 he married Amelita Evans who survives.
He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and gardening. He also enjoyed spending time working in his garage.
Surviving relatives include his wife Amelita Evans of Muncie, IN; one son, Daniel W. Evans (wife: Sandy) of Clarkrange, TN; one daughter, Tammy A. Evans of Muncie, IN; two brothers, James M. Evans (wife: Nancy) of Muncie, IN; Joseph Evans (wife: Susie) of Gaston, IN; grandchildren, Brittany Dyer, Tammy Tarr, Sally White, Terrie Tarr, Megan Stewart all of Muncie, Jenny and Chris Garner of Indianapolis, IN; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Louise Evans, parents, and one sister, Joann Mason.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday January 18, 2009 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie, IN. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
