David R. Yokaitis, 72, of Muncie, passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2022 following an unexpected illness. He was born January 11th, 1950 in Muncie to Jack and Marjorie (Covalt) Yokaitis.

David graduated from Yorktown High School, class of 1969. He worked at Ball Brothers Corporation in Muncie as an industrial mechanic for over 25 yrs until the company moved most operations to Colorado.  Dave enjoyed working on projects in his garage, weekend trips to flea markets, playing the lottery, trips to the casino, and collecting coins and guns.

David is survived by his wife Rebecca R. Yokaitis; his daughter Beth (husband Ryan) Garringer from his previous marriage to Linda L. Yokaitis; step daughter Amy (husband David) Duke; four grandchildren Jacob and Justin Garringer, Rini Lane Chafin, and Bree Duke.  He has 2 surviving brothers Richard and Gary Yokaitis.  Dave is preceded in death by his son, Timothy Yokaitis (mother Linda) and his parents, Jack and Marjorie Yokaitis.

Services will be Monday, March 7, 2022 at Garden View Funeral Home at 12:00 noon with Pastor Josh Johnson of Glad Tidings Hartford City officiating.
