Del Daberko, 62, of Muncie, IN died Saturday December 26, 2009 at St. John''s Hospital in Anderson, IN. He was born on April 12, 1947 in Canton, OH the son of Robert and Lucille (Fulk) Daberko. He graduated from McKinley High School in Canton, OH.
He was a store manager for Kmart for 35 years. For the past 5 years he worked for Gardens of Memory Cemetery and Garden View Funeral Home as a Family Service Counselor.
Del loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his children. He enjoyed traveling with family and friends. He enjoyed sports and was a Colts and Browns fan.
Surviving relatives include two sons and one daughter, Jason Daberko of Brighton, MI; Shay Daberko of Bloomington, IN; and Bree Daberko of Charlotte, NC; two grandchildren, Noah and Libby Daberko; a special friend Joy Sheffield.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services will be 3:00 p.m. on Thursday December 31, 2009 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Pastor Dennis Trimble will officiate the service. Inurnment will follow in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie, IN. Visitation will be on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Lance Armstrong Foundation.
