Delbert Ora Hale Jr. passed away on October 17, 2024, at Indiana University Ball Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Muncie, Indiana, he was the son of the late Delbert Ora Hale Sr. and Anita Hale. He graduated from Royerton High School in 1959 and enjoyed a dedicated career at GM New Venture Gear, retiring in 1993 after 31 years of service.
A faithful member of Riverview Church of the Nazarene, Delbert cherished his relationship with the Lord and actively served in his community.
He was married to his first wife, Beverly Verneman-Hale, for 30 years before her passing. In 1995, he married Linda L. Hale, and they shared 14 wonderful years together.
Delbert is survived by his beloved wife Linda Lee, his son Gene Hale, and his daughter Tammy Garrett; Virginia Maxwell, and Cathy Lehman  grandchildren Justin Hornback, Megan Powell; great-grandchildren Justin Hornback Jr., Alayna Hornback and Raelynn Powell and several more grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. A long with many friends who will deeply miss him. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Beverly, and siblings Patricia Ann Hale (Wager), Sylvia Hale (Gardner), and Virginia Hale (Margar).
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Riverside Church of the Nazarene, 2600 E Willard Street, Muncie, on Thursday, October 24, 2024, from 11:00 AM until the funeral service at 1:00 PM, officiated by Pastor David Shipman.
