Delmar A. Martin, age 88, of Hartford City, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2011. He was born September 28, 1922 in Culp, AR to Joseph E. and Fannie (McGowen) Martin. Delmar was a World War II Army veteran and later became a laborer at Gripco for 17 ½ years before retiring in 1987. He married the former Margaritt Anderson on February 1, 1964 and she preceded him in death. Delmar was an avid fisherman, hunter and he loved to garden.
He is survived by his nephew Perry (Joyce) Martin and several other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two sons, seven brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be Monday, June 13, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Rd. 3, Muncie, IN 47303 with burial to follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
