Deloris Rae Eldridge, 81 of Muncie, died Monday afternoon, September 18, 2017 at her residence. She was born January 24, 1936 in Jeffersonville, KY and is the daughter of the late John Russell & Minnie Mae (Grooms) Ficklin
Deloris was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved and enjoyed being with her family, she was the caregiver for her late daughter and husband. Deloris was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
Deloris is survived by her two grandchildren Brittainy Raef (John) of Gaston and Donovan Jay Loser of Muncie; two great-grandchildren Magnolia Belle and Brantley Walker Raef both of Gaston; a sister Frieda Profitt of Allen Park, MI; a brother John Ficklin (Karol) of Beavercreek, OH; three nephews Forrest Profitt, Philip Profitt (Sunday Frankovich), Matthew Ficklin, and Adam Ficklin (Jessica); a niece Amy Ficklin. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband Ralph V. Eldridge on April 23, 2017; two daughters Patricia L. Loser and Julia Marie Eldridge.
Funeral Services for Deloris will be held Friday, September 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 900 West White River Blvd, Muncie, IN 47303 with Pastor Jerry O''Neal officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 at the church on Friday.
