Deloris Stephens, 79, passed away Friday, December 24, 2010 at Ball Memorial Hospital.
She was born March 21, 1931, in New Castle, the daughter of Ernest and Mary Turner.
Deloris graduated from New Castle High School in 1949.
Her survivors include one sister, Bernice Boyd, Ypsilanti, Michigan; three children, Donald Turner, Sarasota, Florida; Patricia Love, Muncie; and Robin Stephens-Tartt, (husband, Greg), Atlanta, Georgia; one granddaughter, Tanya Love-Jefferson, (husband, Eric), Muncie; two great-grandchildren, Teasia Scott, Muncie; and Robert Vaughn III, Muncie; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Marvin, Wallace, James and Courtlan; and one sister, Pauline Cartwright.
Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 30, 2010 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel, with Pastor Rusty Clements officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, north of Muncie.
