IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Delphia
Batt
December 10, 1925 – June 17, 2022
Delphia Lucille (Garrett) Batt, 96, entered into an eternity of holy peace, profound joy, and indestructible wholeness on Friday, June 17, 2022.
Lucille spent most of her life in Muncie. The eldest of eight, she helped raise her siblings after their father's death.
On December 16,1941, she wed Virgil Batt, to whom she was married for 71 years.
A faithful Christian within the Nazarene church, Lucille taught Sunday school, attended adult Bible studies, helped with vacation Bible schools and participated fully in life with her church family.
Lucille was a strikingly beautiful woman who never looked her age, loved the color pink, homemaking and her favorite music, but most of all, loved being by her husband's side. Together, they built a home and family that they cherished.
She was a loving mother and grandmother whose heart's most fervent desire was that her children and grandchildren would know Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her children: Larry (Sherry) Batt, Donald (Kimberly) Batt, and Linda (George) Crow. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Two sisters, Susan (Bruce) Walker and Evelyn (Ron) Wesner also survive.
Lucille was preceded in death by parents Bradley and Pearl Garrett, five siblings, her husband Virgil and son Jack.
Services will be Wednesday, June 22, at 2pm, at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 IN-3, Muncie. Calling is from 12:00pm to 2:00 that day. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory
