Dennis Cline, 74 of Yorktown, died Wednesday morning, April 26, 2017 at the home of his step daughter in Scottsburg following a brief illness. He was born September 3, 1942 in Chicago, IL and was the son of the late Donald & Sophie (Byran) Cline.
Dennis was a loving husband, father, step-father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Dennis had been an employee for General Motors, worked on the pipeline, done construction, and had been employed by Stoops Auto Body. He loved being active. Dennis loved his church families at Center Chapel United Methodist and Church of God Full Gospel.
Dennis his survived by his loving wife of 23 years Shirley Janice (Murray) Cline of Yorktown; two sons Dennis Cline Jr. (Trudy) of Hopkinsville, KY and Greg Cline (Suzie) of Greenbrier, TN; a step-son Robert Farmer (Tammy) of Yorktown; two step-daughters Arvilla Fee (James) of Beavercreek, OH and Carla Lovins of Scottsburg; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Donald Cline and a step-son-in-law Mitchell Lovins.
Funeral Services for Dennis will be held Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Center Chapel United Methodist Church, 900 West Royerton Road, with Pastor Rusty Clements officiating. Burial with military honors being conducted by the United States Marie Corps and the Delaware County Honor Guard will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Garden View Funeral Home.
