Diana Smith, 75, of Muncie, IN died at 3:25 a.m. on September 3, 2007 at Muncie Heath and Rehabilitation Center in Muncie, IN. She was born on September 27, 1931 in Delaware County, IN the daughter of Robert F. and Ethel M. (Houk) Dudley. On March 19, 1960 she married Cecil Smith who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Diana loved her family very much and enjoyed spending time with them. She was every ones best friend. She enjoyed gardening, collecting and bowling.
Surviving relatives include one son, Keith L. Gulley (wife: Sharon) of Muncie; two daughters, Dena Jae Butler (husband: Steve) of Muncie; Celia A. McKellips (husband: David) of Newburgh, IN; two brothers, Robert F. Dudley (wife: Jacqueline) of Anderson, IN and Herbert O. Dudley of Muncie, IN; one sister, Mary A. Dominick of Muncie; six grandchildren, Heather Diane Dobbs of Muncie; Tiana McPhail of California; Amy Burrell of Muncie, Tina and Steven Butler all of Muncie; and Caleb Luke Gully of Florida; two step grandchildren, Aaron and Christopher Conwell; four great-grandchildren, Thorne Lane McPhail; Kaori Kylie McPhail; Haven Rhea McPhail; and Zander James Burrell. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, close loving friends, and an honorary grandson, Brian Stellwag.
Services will be 10:00 a.m. on Thursday September 6, 2007 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
