Diane E. Bales, 55, of Muncie, IN died at 2:36 p.m. Friday August 17, 2007 at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. She was born on April 24, 1952 in Marion, IN the daughter of Eugene and Cecilia (Castillo) Sachse. On March 17, 1989 in Muncie she married Brad Bales who survives. She was previously married to Boyd Reed, Jr.
She loved her family very much and enjoyed spending time with all her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed fishing, animals, fireworks, shopping, and watching QVC on television. She graduated from Bennett St. Paul High School in Marion, IN. She previously worked for Olan Mills in Muncie.
Surviving relatives include her husband, Brad Bales of Muncie; five sons, Boyd N. Reed, III of Muncie; Mitchell Reed (wife: Amanda) of Fishers, IN; Collin Reed of Muncie; Lorne Reed of Muncie; and Bradley K. Bales of Muncie; one daughter, Sommer Clark (husband: Chad) of Muncie; one brother, Ron Sachse (wife: Patty) of Marion; five grandchildren, McKenzie, Keala, Caleb and Jersie Reed; and Caden Clark.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday August 21, 2007 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Pastor Mark Dill will officiate the service. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
