Diane Kay Blankenship, 62, of Muncie, died Saturday morning, January 26th, 2013 at Morrison Woods Health Campus, following a brief illness. She was born January 26th, 1951 in Muncie, IN., and is the daughter of Robert D. & R. Virginia (Bruner) Sellers.
Diane was a 1969 graduate of Wapahani High School. She graduated from International Junior College of Ft. Wayne in 1970. She loved going to church and was a member of the Selma Christ United Methodist Church. She retired from Ball State University Alumni Association in 2005 after 35 years of service. She served as an Assistant Editor, Executive Assistant, and Homecoming Events Coordinator for the association. She enjoyed music, art, and watching movies. Above all she enjoyed her family and friends.
Diane is survived by her loving husband Glenn Blankenship of Muncie; her loving daughter Lara Williams of Muncie; her parents Robert D. and Virginia (Bruner) Sellers of Muncie; a sister Jean Cool (Greg) of Mooreland; a brother Bill Sellers (Regina) of Parker City; three nieces, one nephew; four great-nieces; and three great-nephews.
Funeral Services for Diane will be held, Friday, February 1st, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Garden View Funeral Home with Pastor Dennis Rush of Selma Christ United Methodist Church officiating. Entombment will follow in Gardens of Memory Mausoleum. Family and friends may call Thursday, January 31st, 2013 from 4-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service Friday at the funeral home.
