Donald C. Hoover, 87 of Jasper, IN went to be with the Lord on Monday. December 11, 2006 at Memorial Hospital. He was born May 10, 1919 in Muncie to the late Fred and Monnie (Haisley) Hoover.
Mr. Hoover was an avid fisherman and sports fan. He was also a member of the Ball State Sympathy Club. He was the former owner of Hoover''s Slaughter House in Winchester, IN. He spent 12 years as a receiving clerk at Ball State University before retiring in 1985.
He is survived by, two sons, Jay A. Hoover of Fort Lauderdale, FL; Mike C. Hoover of Jasper, IN; one sister, Dortha (husband - Elmer) Koger of Muncie, IN; seven grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Mr. Hoover was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Robert Hoover and Harold Hoover, and a daughter, Donna Bennett.
Services will be Friday, December 15, 2006 at 1:00 PM at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 North State Road 3, Muncie, IN with Pastor Coleman Barlow officiating. Friends may call from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM on Friday prior to the service.
In Lieu of flowers contributions can be made in Mr. Hoover''s memory to the American Heart Association. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
