Donald Cecil McGuire, 51, of Gaston, died early Thursday morning, February 12th, 2015. He was born January 29th, 1964 in Muncie, and was the son of the late Donald Lee McGuire and Jeannine (Bright) Collins.
Donnie was a graduate of Wes-Del High School Class of 1982. He earned his Associates Degree in Industrial Electronics from Ivy Tech Community College. Donnie worked for 8 years with US Engineering, and 25 years with Maxon Corporation. He attended Union Chapel. Donnie coached multiple Wes-Del Little League and All-Star baseball teams. He also coached several youth basketball teams as well. Donnie was a sport enthusiast, an IU fanatic, and his kids'' biggest sports fan. Donnie was very active and passionate with his children.
Donnie is survived by his loving wife of 30 years Christy (Hull) McGuire of Gaston; a daughter Sara McGuire of Gaston; two sons, Nathan McGuire (Katie) of Muncie, and Brandon McGuire of Muncie; a granddaughter Laynie McGuire of Muncie, and a grandson Lincoln McGuire of Muncie; three sisters Kathy Oliver, Kelly Manifold, and Amanda Overby, all of Muncie; a brother Mike Dickerson (Stacey) of North Webster; his step-father Bobby Collins of Muncie; father and mother in-law Morris Hull (Donna) of Summitville; two brother-in-laws, Curt Hull (Brooke) and Josh Hull (Sarah) all of Summitville; sister-in-law Kim Wolfe of Anderson; several nieces and nephews also survive .
Funeral Services for Donnie will be held Tuesday, February 17th, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene, 3101 North County Road 350 West, Muncie, IN 47304, with Pastor Mark Dill officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, February 16th, 2015 at the church. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Boy''s and Girl''s Club of Muncie, with envelopes provided at the church.
