Donald Lee Geiger, Jr. of New Castle, Indiana passed away at the age of 82 at his residence the afternoon of Friday, November 26, 2021. He was born on December 11, 1938 in Redkey, Indiana to the late Don Geiger, Sr. and Dorothy (Ford) Geiger.

Donald worked for Craig Trucking in Albany, Indiana for many years. He was an excellent diesel mechanic who enjoyed working on things and helping his neighbors. He loved to visit with family and friends, and he loved the Lord and his church, Faith Baptist. He retired from Highway Dispatch as a Diesel Technician after 36 years of service.

Donald is survived by his daughter, Sheryl Bashor (Thomas) of Sherwood, Ohio; brother, Bob Geiger of Dunkirk, Indiana; sister, Jean Brown of Pennville, Indiana; two grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Don Geiger, Sr. and Dorothy (Ford) Geiger; wife, Karen (Verkler) Geiger; son, Lonnie R. Geiger; brother, Harold D. Geiger; half brothers, Bill Geiger and Leroy Geiger; sister, Shirley Mills; and half sisters, Marie Galespie and Winifred Atkins.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 6, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM in Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 North State Road 3, Muncie with funeral services immediately following at 1:00 PM, also in the Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Dave Waters.
