NICHOLLS, GA - Donald Leroy McCammon, 72, of Nicholls passed away Thursday, February 10th., 2011 at the Coffee Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.
He was a native of Delaware County, IN and son of the late Cledith R. McCammon and Lucy Casperson McCammon. Three brothers, Robert, Daune and Dane McCammon preceded him in death.
Donald attended Eaton High School and worked on the family farm until retirement and was a Member of Nicholls Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sisters, Roberta Ballinger (Bruce) of Nicholls and Thelma Brown of Winter Park, FL.
Funeral services will be held locally Saturday, February 12th at 2:00 p.m. at the Nicholls Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Campbell officiating.
The family will be receiving friends at the Nicholls Baptist Church between 10:30 a.m. and Funeral Time.
The body will be shipped to Eaton, IN for a Funeral at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday Feb. 15th, 2011. Interment will follow in Gardens of Memory in Muncie. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until funeral time. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Nicholls Baptist Church Youth Group, P. O. Box 38 Nicholls, Ga. 31554.
