Donald Gordon Niccum, 81, passed away December 19, 2018 at IU Ball Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family.   Donald was born January 26, 1937 in Muncie to the late Roy and Dorothy (Schuyler) Niccum.   He graduated from Eaton High School.

Donald loved his sports teams of the Colts, the Pacers, and NASCAR.  He enjoyed camping, water skiing, traveling, carpentry, crafting, and creating.  Donald was very good with his hands and had a craft for fixing anything.  He attended University Christian Church.  He worked for 3M Manufacturing for 35 years, retiring in 1992.  He was extremely committed to his family:  his wife, his sons, and his grandchildren.

Donald is survived by his wife, Carolyn (Marks) Niccum, whom he married in 1986; his sons:  Michael Niccum (wife, Soayda Astana) and Donald "Greg" Niccum (wife, Stefanie Decker-Niccum); daughter-in-law, Cheryl Niccum; step-son, Philip "Butch" Grove (wife, Ginger); 11 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his son, Stephen Niccum; brother, Gene Niccum; and sister, Phyllis Trout.
