Donna Jean (Riess) Brown, 77, of Muncie, IN died Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at Liberty Village Health Care, Muncie, IN. She was born on March 19, 1931 in Muncie, IN the daughter of Hans and Dorothy (Sarber) Riess. She graduated from Royerton High School.
Donna Jean was employed by Cross Roads of America Council--Boy Scouts of America for 30 years, retiring in 1993. She was also a member of the Pi Omicron Sorority, a chapter of Gamma Zeta. She was also a member of Lawrence United Methodist Church, Indianapolis, IN. Donna Jean was also an avid animal lover.
Surviving relatives include two sons, Michael Y. Brown (wife: Kathleen Donohue) of Pipersville, PA and Thomas C. Brown (wife: Kathy) of Harrodsburg, KY; one daughter Catherine J. Scheier of Indianapolis, IN; sister Carol Jefferson (husband: Earl) of Muncie, IN; four grandchildren, Jennifer Brown, Cassandra Brown, Haley Brown, and Sean Brown; and two great-grandchildren.
Donna Jean was preceded in death by her parents, and husbands Carl Yohey and Richard C. Brown.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon on Saturday, March 21, 2009 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Reverend Paula Mayberry will officiate the service. Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie. Visitation will be Saturday, March 21, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
