Donna Fern Maurer, 76, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2009, at the Parker Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born June 18, 1933, in Holly Hill, Florida, the daughter of Sidney and Ethel (Hathaway) Conant. Donna moved to Muncie area and attended Center School.
She and her husband owned and operated Mt. Pleasant Fishing Lakes for forty-five years prior to her retirement.
Donna was a member of Full Gospel Temple and Senior Citizen Director of the Joy Group at the church.
She was a caring and giving person that would do anything for anybody.
Surviving are two sons, Daniel Maurer, (wife, Joy), Muncie, and Timothy Maurer, (wife, Tish), Selma; two daughters, Janice Warren, (husband, John), Selma, and Judith Gann, Muncie; her brother, Myron Byers, (wife, Jacque) Pigeon Forge, TN; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of forty-nine years, James E. Maurer, who died in 2001; her brother and sister-in-law, Jean and Helen Conant; and several great grandchildren.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday at Full Gospel Temple Church with Pastor Denny Helton officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, 10703 N. State Rd 3, Muncie, IN.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church on Friday.
