Dora Rebecca (Ault) Brewer, 76, of Muncie, IN, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2009 at Ball Memorial Hospital. She was born on April 14, 1933 in Eaton, IN to the late Everett and Mary (Houdeshell) Ault.
Dora was employed by Walmart North in Muncie for 10 years as a door greeter.
Dora enjoyed fishing, crocheting, and playing bingo.
Surviving relatives include daughters, Becky Walker (husband: David) of Muncie, IN; Linda Gaither (husband: Fred) of Alexandria, IN; Tammy Young (companion: Ben McAllister) of Yorktown, IN; and Sandy Whitaker (husband: Lonny) of Muncie, IN; step-children Diana Hickman (husband: Dwight) of Muncie, IN; Steve Brewer (wife: Angela) of Selma, IN; and Marsha Kelley (husband: Mark) of Muncie, IN; sister Edna Weaver (the late Ben) of Crossville, TN; grandchildren David "Brad" Walker, Jennifer Davis, Karen Young, Brittany Bolt, Amy Taylor, Brandon Bolt, Bryant Whitaker, Kevin Gaither, and Sara Gaither; several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and special friend Carl Hamilton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Glen Franklin Brewer; brothers, Martin Ault and "Ed" Allen Ault; and sister Helen Maynard.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2009 at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Brother Terry Hinds will officiate the service. Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie. Visitation will be Friday, May 1, 2009 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
