Doris Jean (Jeanne) Arthur passed away peacefully on October 19, 2026, at Parker Health and Rehabilitation. She was raised in Cowan by her parents, Lloyd and Gladys Rowe. She grew up in a loving family, which included her sister, Zelma and brother, Jack.

Jeanne married Norval Arthur and together they raised five children, Tony Arthur, Sherri Arthur, Matt Arthur, Neal Arthur, and Sherry Frost.

Jeanne loved God her entire life. She spent hours reading her Bible and attending Bible Studies with her dear friends. Jeanne was a very kind person, a fabulous cook, wrote poetry, and played the piano in her younger years. She also enjoyed camping with Norval at Richardson’s Campground.

She is survived by her children, Tony, Matt, and Sherry; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her brother, Jack.

Thanks to Parker Rehab for the care Jeanne received while there. Special thanks to Emma Keihn, her roommate, for being such a loving friend.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, on November 24th, 2026, at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Rd 3, Muncie, IN 47303.

A Celebration of Life will begin at 11:00 am following visitation at the funeral home.
