Doris L. Cruea of Yorktown, IN. passed away suddenly Friday, December 18th. Doris spent 40 plus years of her life devoted to dancing. She demonstrated her passion to dance by owning her own studio in which she taught countless students. She also shared her love of dance with her community by putting on many dance recitals. Even later in life, she spent many hours in her studio teaching her great-grandchildren the art of dance. She gained much joy and laughter from that time.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and her husband of 44 years Bill Cruea.
Doris is survived by one daughter, Pamela Williams (husband Jerry) , two grandsons, Tony Guinn (wife Dorinda), Troy Guinn (wife Sunni), three great-granddaughters, Jessica Guinn, Anna and Leah Guinn, and two greatgrand stepsons Josh and Jake Townsend, as well as one very special niece, Marsha Shirk and three other nieces and a nephew.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at New Life Presbyterian Church. Family and friends may gather 2 hours prior to service from 1-3pm. Service to follow at 3pm, officiated by Pastor Bob O'Bannon.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to either the Susan G. Komen Foundation or A Better Way.
