Doris Alvina Ebbinghaus, 84, of Muncie, died early Saturday morning May 5th, 2012 at Bethel Pointe Health and Rehabilitation in Muncie. She was born November 11th, 1927 in Highland, IL and was the daughter of the late Charles & Alvina (Swear) Knebel. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed plastic canvassing, reading, and cooking. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Cross. Doris retired after 27 years of service at Marhoffers. She is survived by her daughter Sharon Eastman of Muncie; two granddaughters, Nicole (Randy) Skiles of Columbus, OH. And Kelly (James) Wright of Indianapolis, IN; three great-grandchildren, Ethan, Riley, and Balen; three nephews, Donnie Knebel, Phillip and Kenny Hicks. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ebbinghouse; and a daughter Marilyn Thurnau. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Garden View Funeral Home; burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
