Doris I. Wimmer, age 72, of Muncie, passed away September 15, 2011. She was born February 22, 1939 in Muncie to Ralph and Marie (Cross) Richey. She had worked in many different fields but most recently for Help at Home as a Home Care Assistant. Doris attended Covenant Partners Ministries, and she loved to help people and was always willing to do what she could for friends and family.
Doris is survived by her sons, Robert O. Duke (wife Melissa) of Virginia Beach, VA, and Charles W. Duke (wife Anna) of Cabot, AR; brother, Paul Richey (wife Pat) of Florida; grandchildren, Chelsea Weaver (husband Sean), Damian and Kristen Rode; great grandchildren, Vincent and Raven Weaver.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Rd. 3 Muncie, IN 47303 with Pastor Linda McBride officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, September 19, 2011 at the funeral home from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. The family requests Memorial Contributions to Covenant Partners Ministries in memory of Doris.
