Dorothy June Snider, 82, of Muncie died peacefully, early Wednesday morning, November 20th, 2013 at Elmcroft Senior Living Center. She was born, August 25th, 1931 in Muncie and was the daughter of the late Harry M. & Mabel R. (Lyons) Bilby.
Dorothy was a graduate of DeSoto High School class of 1949. She loved and enjoyed getting together with her classmates. She enjoyed nature, especially birds and flowers. A strong willed cancer survivor, she was a very active lady. Dorothy was an aid for the Delaware Community Schools, and had taught genealogy at the Minnetrista Center.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter Cynthia " Cyndi" Davisson (Mark) of Muncie; six grandchildren, Brent Davisson of Muncie, Troy Davisson (Jennifer) of Noblesville, Tanya Snider of Lake Havasu City, AZ, Kyle Davisson (Kelly) of Indianapolis, Verlina Davisson (Todray Price) of Muncie, and Miki Davisson (Kendra) of Muncie; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband Herbert H. Snider in 2003; a son Dennis Snider in 1996; two sisters, and four brothers.
Funeral Services for Dorothy will be held Saturday, November 23rd, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home, with Rev. Bruce Bilby officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory. Family and friends may call Saturday, November 23rd, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Alzheimer''s Association, with envelopes provided at the funeral home.
