Dorothy Alice (Webber) Martin, 88, of Auburn, IN passed away Friday December 21, 2007 at Betz Nursing Home in Auburn, IN following a long illness. She was formerly a 40 residence of Dunkirk, IN. She was born on March 10, 1919 in Knox County, TN the daughter of Letcher and Essie (Stanley) Webber. On April 20, 1940 she married Thomas Edward Martin who preceded her in death on December 8, 1998.
She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and gardening. She retired in 1993 after working at McCord''s Variety Store for 18 years.
Survivors include five children; daughter, Barbara J. Dollier of Auburn, IN; son, Thomas E. Martin of Auburn, IN; daughter, Linda L. Fowler of Kokomo, IN; son, David L. Martin of Berne, IN; and daughter, Kathy S. Waller of Conroe, TX. She had nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. on Thursday December 27, 2007 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie, IN. Pastor Dennis Trimble will officiate the service. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
