ALBANY - Dorothy Sheller, 84, Albany, passed away Friday August 27, 2010 at her home.
Born in Terre Haute on April 23, 1926, she attended school in Farmersburg and was a resident of Albany for several years. Dorothy was a former member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Moose Lodge. She retired during the mid 1980's after working thirty years for the United States Postal Service in Albany.
Survivors include her husband of fifty-nine years, Harold "Mus" Sheller; two sons, Robert Sheller (wife, Debbie), Albany, and Bill Sheller (wife, Christy), Leesburg; a daughter, Stacey Morgan (husband, Jeff), Albany; five grandchildren, Doug & Adam Morgan, and Patrick, Caitlinn & Kelsey Sheller; three great-grandchildren, Zachary, Tyler, and Alana Morgan; also, special friend, Valerie Nottingham, Albany.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur & Mildred Fridenmaker; a brother, John Fridenmaker, and a sister, Rosalee Samm.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Monday August 30, 2010 at Meacham Funeral Service, Albany, with burial following at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Muncie.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.
