Dorris Ann Eckert, 81, of Yorktown, died Tuesday morning, February 5th, 2013 at Heritage Pointe Health Care in Warren. She was born January 18th, 1932 in Arkansas and was the daughter of the late William Allen & Edith (Hall) Elzroth
Dorris was a graduate of Warren High School. She was a member of St. Mary''s Catholic Church and the Pilot Club in Muncie. She enjoyed sewing and knitting. She loved her two dachsand dogs greatly. Dorris was a former employee of General Electric. She was a loving wife and mother.
Dorris is survived by her two children, Patti Eckert of Lafayette, and Chris Eckert of Ft. Wayne; a sister Thelma Brubaker (John) of Bluffton, IN.; and a brother Richard Elzroth of Lagro, IN., four grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Rupert Eckert and several siblings.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 9th, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home with Rev. David Newton celebrant.
