Douglas Allen Hobbick, 74, passed away peacefully, September 27, 2025, surrounded by family
who loved him deeply. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife of 55 years, Jo Ann
Hobbick, and a proud father to Greg Hobbick and his wife Sherry, Lisa Bilby and her husband
Aaron, and Brian Hobbick and his wife Amy.
He adored his grandchildren — Joshua, Samantha and her husband Trevyn, Caleb, Michael,
Daniel, Grayson, Avery, and Layton — and loved having conversations with each of them.
Doug absolutely loved traveling with Jo Ann. He loved spending time with family. An avid
outdoorsman, he loved camping, boating, hiking in the woods, and also, hunting with his sons
and grandsons.
His devotion to faith guided his children and grandchildren, and he loved God and country
deeply. His kindness, humor, and steady presence will be missed by all who knew him.
He leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, hard work, and quiet strength — one that will continue
to inspire his family and all who were blessed to know him.

A celebration of life will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, October 25, 2025, at True Light Baptist
Church, 805 N Country Club Road, Muncie with Pastor Dennis Trimble officiating.
Family and friends may call at True Light Baptist Church prior to the service, from 2:00 p.m. until
3:00 p.m. on October 25, 2025.
